The Care for the Cure Foundation is proud to present the 10th Annual Care for the Cure Lacrosse Tournament featuring the 6th Annual Kelsey Klassic. The Care for the Cure Lacrosse Tournament was inspired by Caroline 'Gallagher' Cranston who lost her life in a battle with Leukemia in May, 2010.
Care was a standout student-athlete playing soccer, and lacrosse for West Chester Henderson. After exceeding all expectations at Henderson, Caroline went on to play lacrosse at Duquesne University, where she was a leader on and off the field. Caroline graduated Duquesne with her Master’s Degree while also competing as a 4 year player on the lacrosse team. A true inspiration and light within the lacrosse community, The Care for the Cure Foundation will continue to spread awareness in her honor.
Presented by The Care for Cure Foundation will be the 6th Annual Kelsey Klassic tournament hosting men's and women's 18+ teams from all over the country. Celebrating the life of Kelsey Kramer, the teams will compete in three games, raising awareness and funds for Kelsey's Legacy Forever Strong Foundation. The Kelsey Klassic Tournament was inspired by Kelsey Kramer who lost her life in a single vehicle accident in September of 2011.
Kelsey was a well-rounded student-athlete playing competitive soccer for Owen J Roberts High School and the Vincent United Jaguars travel team as well as competing in track and field events. Kelsey lived her life by exemplifying so many positive and wonderful traits who inspired happiness and positivity in others. She embraced life, loved life, and lived her life to the fullest with no regrets. Kels had an infectious personality and a smile that would light up a room. Her loving, compassionate, selfless personality and the positivity she exuded impacted each and every person she encountered. A true leader and role model both on and off the field, who continues to inspire us today. With Kelsey’s inspiration, the Kelsey Legacy Forever Strong Foundation creates a lasting tribute in celebration of Kelsey and her life by making a difference in the lives of youth in a positive way by promoting youth development and leadership through sports, education and community outreach activities.
